Salad of Market Mushrooms, Flax Seed and Wild Rice


  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Wild Rice
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 3 Tablespoons Flax Seeds
  • 1 cup Market Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 pc Scallion, sliced
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 pc Garlic, minced
  • 1 pc Shallot, chopped


1. Combine the water and wild rice and cook until tender, around 30 to 40 minutes.

2. In a medium sized sauté pan, heat the olive oil to medium high heat. Add the mushrooms and cook for five minutes. Add the garlic, shallot, flax seeds and scallion and continue to cook for two minutes. Next, add the cooked wild rice, followed by the sour cream. Remove from the heat and mix well. Serve warm.
